In Memoriam

Rais Ahmed Khan (1934-2021)

The Winnipeg MUNA family was saddened to learn of the passing of Rais Khan on February 3rd, 2021 at 87 years of age. Rais was a steadfast champion and leader of the Winnipeg MUNA since the days of black and white photos (Rais is appropriately seated above the United Nations emblem). He was passionate about young people and about fair and proper debate of international issues. Rais also served as past president for the Rotary Club of Winnipeg. He will be dearly missed by his colleagues on the MUNA organizing committee and across Rotary and his contribution to the development of youth leadership skills will be remembered by countless MUNA delegates from across Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, North Dakota and Minnesota.
