67 years of simulating negotiation and consensus-building on global issues at the Winnipeg Model United Nations Assembly.
Over 70 high school teams typically gather in Winnipeg every April/May from across Canada and the United States. For 2024 MUNA will be an in-person event.
The Winnipeg MUNA provides an accurate simulation of the General Assembly of the United Nations and how it drafts and adopts resolutions.
Preparing for the Winnipeg MUNA requires researching global issues, knowing the rules and procedures of the Model UN Assembly.
MUNA presents awards to outstanding teams. Award winners are then given the option to accept leadership roles in the following year's MUNA.
For the first time since 2023, delegates gathered in person to share their ideas on peace, security and environmental issues.
Congratulations to the delegates representing Brazil for winning the Rais Khan Most Diplomatic Award.
